Mr. Epstein, who was born in the European country of Lithuania, immigrated to Chicago, Illinois, in the year of 1908 where he met and married Miss Sarah Belinsky, in the year of 1917. The following year, Mr. and Mrs. Epstein moved to San Antonio to make their home and have resided here since that time. During their residence in San Antonio, Mr. and Mrs. Epstein have been active in, and generous contributors to, such local organizations as the Hebrew Free Loan Association, Hadassah, Pioneer Women, and B’nai B’rith organizations. They have been members of, and contributors to, Congregation Agudas Achim for many years. Mr. Epstein has always felt that the local Hebrew Free Loan Association is one of the most worthy and useful organizations that the local Jewish community possesses, and in conformity with this feeling, has expressed a desire, to will the sum of five hundred dollars to the Association, as another aid towards continuing its wonderful work. Mr. and Mrs. Epstein are the proud parents of one daughter, three sons, and twelve grandchildren, all residents of San Antonio.
