He married Merilyn Pinsky in 1940, and they have two children, a son, Sheldon, born in 1942, and a daughter, Susan, born in 1945. Mr. Becker was engaged in the wholesale ladies ready-to-wear garments, the Pan-American Fashions, at 428 W. Market Street, San Antonio, Texas. Hyman Becker was the son of Isaac and Sarah Becker of Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the Agudas Achim Congregation, and of its choir for 9 years. He was a great lover of the arts, and a member of the San Antonio Opera Company for five years. He was also a great lover of the sciences of chemistry, astronomy, physics and botany. Born 1914.
